Designing an internet brand for millions of canadians.
Shaw is Western Canada’s largest telecommunications provider.
As they looked to reposition themselves as an Internet company, I was the lead Art Director on the Shaw account. I worked for three years on the brand, helping Shaw through a major rebrand that included the conceptualization and creation of Shaw's Bot World platform –- a world inside your ethernet inhabited by nanorobots delivering the Internet (and all of its content) to you.
The rebrand included the direction and execution of every design and advertising asset, including a brand system, along with digital, TV, print, out-of-home, social and product assets. We worked closely with LAIKA HOUSE to help bring the animated world to life.
I also worked on establishing, creating and directing Shaw's "always on" Social Blueprint for the entire brand, helping establish Shaw's first online design guidelines and implementing them across every digital and social platform.
For Shaw Direct's launch campaign, we introduced Shaw's spokesbot currently in orbit, highlighting the country-wide service in two TV spots. Say hello to Beam, the official spokesbot of Shaw Direct Satellite TV.
We illustrated the strength of the new WiFi modem with a unique conveyor belt execution in grocery stores.
